Strategic Property Management: Lead the property and asset management of the school, ensuring that all facilities are maintained to the highest standards and are conducive to an exceptional learning experience.
Team Leadership and Development: Manage, mentor and inspire the caretaking and cleaning staff, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
Health and Safety Champion: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations by conducting regular audits and implementing best practices to safeguard the entire school community, including governors and all stakeholders.
Crisis Management: Act as the primary point of contact for emergencies, demonstrating effective problem-solving skills and ensuring the safety of all stakeholders.
Community Liaison: Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, contractors and the wider community, representing the school with professionalism and integrity.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
Expertise in Health & Safety: Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations specific to school settings, including COSHH compliance. Committed to staying informed on evolving H&S guidelines and policies to ensure ongoing compliance, with all relevant training kept up to date.
Practical Maintenance Skills: Proven ability to perform repairs and maintenance tasks, with a solid understanding of heating systems and building management. Exceptional Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with all members of the school community and external partners.Leadership Experience: Demonstrated experience in managing teams, with the ability to motivate and develop staff to achieve outstanding results.
Relevant Experience: Previous experience in a facilities management role, with a positive track record of liaising with contractors and ensuring quality standards are met.
