The Role:
We are looking for an Investor Relations Associate to join our Real Estate business.
The Real Estate Investor Relations team is a dynamic and energetic team that focuses on the development and maintenance of relationships with new and existing institutional investors for the M&G Real Estate Business, with over £35bn of assets under management. This includes supporting products invested in commercial and residential real estate across the UK, Europe, and Asia. The team works closely with fund management, investment and asset management, finance, legal, compliance and internal sales teams to service existing investors and drive the continued growth and development of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare client-facing materials on funds and/or mandates within the M&G Real Estate product suite.
- Contribute to the development and alignment of messaging for these materials, working collaboratively with relevant teams to ensure consistency and clarity.
- Support internal sales teams, existing investors and new prospects, including involvement in business development, due diligence and client retention initiatives.
- Attend client/prospect meetings, recording key points and inputting necessary information into Salesforce.
- Produce presentations and other sales collateral for existing clients, prospects and industry conferences.
- Coordinate and contribute to RFP, DDQ and RFI responses and maintain consultant databases.
- Respond to queries from investors, prospects, consultants and internal stakeholders.
- Support in coordinating investor days and operational due diligence meetings.
- Compile reporting materials and contribute to their ongoing improvement.
- Contribute or help co-ordinate real estate IR information for internal reporting purposes.
- Provide ad-hoc admin support to the team as required.
Note: Role would be ideal for someone with a background in RFPs and or presentations who is looking to move into a more client-focused role and to work closer to investment teams.
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Essential:
- Minimum of two years’ experience in an institutional client service or business development environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work with complex data.
- Good working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to prioritise workload, manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines.
- Organised and structured approach to tasks and problem solving.
- Ability to build and develop relationships with internal and external customers or stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, capable of working independently and with a passion and drive to learn.
Advantageous but not essential:
- Business related degree, Real Estate or investment focused qualifications.
- Experience of institutional RFPs and new business pitches.
- Real estate industry experience.
- Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce or a similar CRM database.
