St Michael’s Fellowship is looking to recruit 1 full time, fixed term for 1 year, Deputy Service Manager, within one of our family residential assessment centres.

Deputy Service Manager Responsibilities:

To support the Registered Manager of Crawford House in the delivery of the assessment and support services at the centre for a maximum of four families at any time.
To effectively lead and manage the staff team in partnership with the Centre Manager and facilitate and empower staff contributions to team discussions, decision-making, day to day work, and the development of the service.

The Ideal Candidate:

Will have leadership/ management experience.
Will have experience working with families where there are issues of child abuse/neglect.
Will have experience working with people who have complex needs.
Will have knowledge on current legislation, especially; Children Act ’89, 2004 and Children & Families Act 2014, Children and Social Work Act 2017, Working Together to Safeguard Children Guidance 2020, GDPR. Residential family centres: national minimum standards (2013)
