Are you a strategic and driven business development professional with a passion for the real estate sector? We have an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing international law firm in a pivotal role supporting client and market development across the Real Estate practice group.
The Opportunity
This London-based role sits within a collaborative and dynamic Business Development team and reports to the Senior Manager overseeing Real Estate. It offers broad exposure to the full marketing and business development mix—from key client account management and new business generation to strategic communications and campaign execution.
The Real Estate team is recognised for its industry-focused approach, advising on high-value, complex real estate matters including development, construction, planning, ESG, real estate finance, and investment.
Key Responsibilities
Client and Market Development
- Manage and support key client accounts aligned with the Real Estate practice.
- Deliver client listening initiatives and contribute to sector-specific strategies.
- Work closely with lawyers to embed BD best practices and identify growth opportunities across products and asset classes.
New Business & Pitch Support
- Provide hands-on support for bids and proposals, including pitch qualification, preparation, and coaching for partners and associates.
- Develop marketing collateral, capability statements, and support the global pitch infrastructure.
Marketing & Communications
- Execute targeted thought leadership and brand-raising campaigns.
- Collaborate with PR and communications teams to promote practice highlights.
- Develop and manage digital content across websites, social media, and internal platforms.
- Lead on key directory and award submissions, and oversee event planning.
Product & Market Knowledge
- Develop a deep understanding of the practice’s services and market trends.
- Support cross-practice and cross-sector initiatives to elevate the firm's presence in the real estate market globally.
About you
- Proven experience in business development, ideally within a professional services or legal environment.
- Strong understanding of the real estate sector is highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills across all levels.
- Experience in marketing communications, client account management, and sales support.
- Creative mindset with solid project management and organisational skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g. InterAction) and Microsoft Office suite.
