Our client is a leading global mining company with a portfolio of world-class operations. The Data Protection Specialist will support global data privacy initiatives, advise stakeholders, manage privacy risks, and ensure compliance with the Group Data Privacy Policy.
What you'll do:
- Support the Data Protection Team in maintaining and implementing the global privacy program, policies, and documentation.
- Conduct privacy assessments, DPIAs, and manage privacy-by-design processes.
- Update Privacy and Cookie Notices.
- Handle data subject rights requests (DSARs) and assist with data breaches.
- Act as a global point of contact for data privacy queries.
- Maintain accurate records of data processing activities.
- Collaborate with business units to address privacy compliance issues.
- Ensure third-party stakeholders comply with privacy requirements.
What you'll bring:
- Qualification in data protection (e.g., CIPP/E)
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Strong knowledge and commercial application of GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018
- Understanding of IT governance and risk management techniques
Strong advantages:
- Experience with OneTrust privacy modules
- Knowledge of international privacy laws (POPIA, PIPEDA, CCPA, PIPL, PDPA, etc.)
- Conversational in Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, or Chinese
