About the Role As the Director of Global Real Estate, Workplace & HSS, you will lead a high-impact team responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and governance of our global real estate portfolio, workplace operations, and HSS programs. You'll drive innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence while ensuring our spaces are safe, inclusive, and aligned with our culture and business goals.
Key Responsibilities - Global Strategy: Develop global strategies for real estate, workplace and facilities, and Health, Safety, and Security services
- Real Estate and Workplace: Design and implement global real estate and workplace strategies, and lead the delivery of projects working closely with business partners to ensure optimized used of resource
- Portfolio Reporting: Provide reporting capability utilizing proprietary tools, report on investment portfolio performance, and develop key metrics to measure performance and utilization
- Governance: Manage global property approval process, and rigorously test business cases for robustness
- Team Leadership: Lead the Estates and Facilities teams across multiple locations, and develop a centre of excellence culture built on strong technical competence and service levels.
- Relationship Management: Develop, build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and strategic partners
- Budget & Financial Performance: Develop operating and capital budgets for real estate and facilities operations, partnering with Group Finance to regularly review and take corrective action as required
This role will include international travel every few months, of c.4-5 days per trip.
We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
About You With strong experience in corporate real estate management across an International portfolio, you'll be confident developing and executing strategy, overseeing transaction management and project delivery.
Essential:
- Good experience of Real Estate, and workplace and facilities strategy and delivery
- Experienced at management of stakeholders up to board level
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and a passion for creating exceptional employee experiences.
- Excellent stakeholder/vendor management, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Experience leading cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
- Experience of managing budgets and undertaking options analysis
- Experience of managing design, construction, fit-out and remodel projects
- Experience of delivering workplace change projects
Membership of a professional body, e.g. RICS, IWFM is desirable.
